Speaking at Consensus Miami 2026, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao said restoring global crypto liquidity to American traders is a priority, naming a revived Binance.US as one possible route. "The best liquidity in crypto is outside of the U.S.," Zhao said, adding that Binance would love to provide U.S. consumers "the best liquidity in the world and the best prices." Binance.US is already plotting a comeback under CEO Stephen Gregory, with plans to expand into derivatives and prediction markets.
Zhao credited a policy shift under the current administration — pointing to market structure legislation including the CLARITY Act — for drawing him back into U.S. builder and regulator circles. He said the U.S. is now "leading in the world in terms of crypto policies," and that developers who fled to Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, and Singapore are returning.
