Firedancer is live on Solana mainnet — and Jump Crypto is deliberately keeping it that way for now!

Jump Crypto's Firedancer validator client is quietly producing blocks on Solana mainnet, marking one of the most consequential infrastructure milestones in the network's history. Founding engineer Ritchie Patel confirmed to CoinDesk: "Firedancer is live and running in production. We have packed tens of millions of transactions over the last few months."

The rollout is intentionally restrained. Patel said the team is wary of rushing broad adoption before completing full security audits — a $1 million public bug bounty competition was recently wrapped up to build confidence ahead of wider expansion. "We don't want everybody to run it yet," he said. "If half the network upgrades before we've done full security auditions, that would be a bit reckless."
