Nvidia reported first-quarter revenue of $81.62 billion, up 85% year-over-year and well above Wall Street's $78.9 billion estimate, with adjusted EPS of $1.87 beating the $1.76 consensus. The company guided for roughly $91 billion in current-quarter revenue, authorized an $80 billion stock buyback, and hiked its quarterly dividend from 1 cent to 25 cents per share. Despite the beats, NVDA shares slipped about 1.5% as investors weighed longer-term competition in AI chips.

The real story for crypto markets is what Nvidia's numbers say about data center demand. Data Center now accounts for more than 90% of Nvidia's revenue — $75 billion in the quarter alone — with hyperscalers contributing roughly $38 billion and AI cloud revenue more than tripling year-over-year. CEO Jensen Huang called the AI infrastructure buildout "the largest infrastructure expansion in human history."
