AAVE Leads DeFi Gains as Top 100 Crypto Rankings Shift

As of 09:00 UTC on 29 Sep, CoinGecko’s top 10 was unchanged, while sector rotation played out below it. AAVE gained seven ranks and ICP four; CAKE fell eight, leaving the strongest moves spread across DeFi, infrastructure and other large-cap tokens rather than one broad sector surge.

Diverging moves across sectors

AAVE climbed from 48 to 41 on a 13.4% 24-hour price gain, the largest rank advance among the listed movers. In contrast, PancakeSwap (CAKE) dropped from 79 to 87 as its price fell 3.9%. The DeFi picture is therefore mixed, not a uniform sector bid.
