Days after a wave of abrupt departures from the Ethereum Foundation, the EF has still offered no public explanation — and the silence is doing damage. What began as shock over high-profile exits has evolved into a broader reckoning over whether Ethereum's most influential institution still understands the ecosystem it was built to steward.

Former EF researcher Dankrad Feist put it plainly: the Foundation now controls less than 0.1% of all ETH and receives no direct staking or fee revenue, leaving it economically disconnected from the network it governs.
