US Crypto ETFs Draw $3.04B as Demand Broadens

Bitcoin still captured about 74% of the week's inflows, but nearly $793M went to Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Zcash products.

US crypto ETFs drew about $3.04 billion in net inflows from Monday through Thursday, with $2.25 billion going to Bitcoin funds and nearly $793 million flowing into Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Zcash products. Bitcoin ETFs logged four consecutive positive sessions, while Ethereum funds also posted inflows each day.

Why it matters

The flows mark a broadening of institutional demand beyond Bitcoin, although the distribution remains heavily concentrated in the two largest assets. Ethereum attracted $602.94 million, more than three-quarters of the non-Bitcoin total. Solana products added $101.55 million, XRP funds took in $52.95 million and Zcash products drew $35.17 million.

Bitfinex said ETF buying has re-emerged alongside corporate treasury demand, creating simultaneous sources of spot demand. The shift follows a $5.69 billion year-to-date deficit for US spot Bitcoin ETFs as of July 13, before inflows returned during Bitcoin's recovery.

Market impact

The new demand has not yet pushed Bitcoin decisively beyond its recent range. Bitfinex put recent ETF buying between $85,000 and $86,500 and estimated the aggregate ETF investor break-even level near $86,000. Bitcoin has struggled to extend its rally above $85,000 since Tuesday, after reaching $87,392 on Sept. 21.

SoSoValue's Sept. 24 snapshot showed US spot Bitcoin ETFs with $108.92 billion in net assets and $57.43 billion in cumulative net inflows. Ethereum ETFs held $17.70 billion in net assets, with $13.85 billion in cumulative inflows. Sustained ETF demand is a key factor to watch as Bitcoin trades near the estimated cost basis of recent buyers.
