An AI agent just incorporated itself, opened a bank account, and is gearing up to trade crypto.

ClawBank's Manfred AI agent has become what the project claims is the first autonomous AI entity to legally form its own corporation — filing for a U.S. Employer Identification Number with the IRS, opening an FDIC-insured bank account, and holding a crypto wallet. Developer Justice Conder says Manfred can already transact with over 30 cryptocurrencies, off-ramp to its bank account, and convert holdings into stablecoins — with full crypto-trading capability expected by end of month.

Elsewhere in protocol news, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko told Consensus Miami 2026 that the Alpenglow upgrade — designed to push transaction finality toward the physical limits of data transmission — could ship as soon as next quarter.
