AVAX Surges to CMC Rank 20 as Tezos Exits Top 100

Avalanche delivered the day's headline move on CoinMarketCap's top-100, climbing from rank 25 to 20 as of 15:00 UTC on 20 Sep on a 15.7% price gain — while Tezos dropped out of the index entirely despite a 37.5% surge that arrived too late to save its spot.

The AVAX move, and the XTZ exit

AVAX traded at $10.89 with market cap at $4.82B, the strongest 24h performer among top-25 assets. MemeCore (M) matched the five-rank climb to No. 28 on an even hotter +18.9%, and Algorand added five ranks at No. 62.

XTZ's 37.5% pop was the oddest print of the session: a double-digit rally that still left the token below the cutoff. Celestia (TIA) re-entered at No. 100 in its place, at $0.4086 and a $0.38B cap.

The softer side of the board

DeFi infrastructure gave back ground — Raydium, Arbitrum, Morpho and Jupiter each slipped 3-4 ranks on 24h losses between 5% and 9%. The climber cluster sat in L1s and meme-adjacent large caps, a clean one-session divergence rather than a broad trend.
