Bitmine’s position combines concentrated exposure to ETH with an income strategy built around staking. Chairman Tom Lee said ether had outperformed the S&P 500 by 6,832 basis points in the third quarter, despite a hawkish Federal Reserve, surging oil, rising global bond yields and tighter financial conditions. He described ether as “dwarfing other macro assets.”
The company also reported 214 bitcoin, stakes of $180 million in Beast Industries and $117 million in Eightco Holdings, plus $643 million in cash and marketable securities. Its crypto, cash and other holdings totaled $17.4 billion as of Oct. 4.

ETH traded around $2,711 on Monday, up 0.37%, according to the seed, and had gained more than 10% over the past month and more than 50% over the past three months. Those price moves provide context for Bitmine’s accumulation, while the company’s large staked balance ties part of its Ethereum exposure to staking yields.
