The CoinDesk 20 Index closed Wednesday's session at 2,062.9, down 0.5% (-9.64 points) from the prior 4 p.m. ET mark. Only five of the twenty constituent assets managed to trade in positive territory, reflecting a broadly cautious session across mid- and large-cap crypto.
Internet Computer (ICP) led the downside at -1.6%, with Hedera (HBAR) close behind at -1.3%. On the brighter side, NEAR Protocol posted the session's strongest gain at +4.1%, followed by Bittensor (TAO) at +1.6% — two assets with active developer narratives that continue to attract selective bids even in soft tape.
The session's breadth — just 25% of index constituents in the green — is the more telling data point. It suggests the softness is index-wide rather than isolated to a handful of names.
