A long-time Hyperliquid insider has begun offloading a massive HYPE position just as the token broke above $67 to set a new all-time high. The wallet, which originally received 819,335 HYPE at Genesis and later accumulated an additional 676,709 tokens at an average cost of $4.29 per token ($2.9M total), now sits on a realized-and-unrealized gain of roughly $95 million.
Nine hours before the on-chain alert surfaced, the wallet withdrew 500,000 HYPE ($33M) from Hyperliquid and routed 211,001 HYPE ($13.8M) directly into Coinbase — a classic distribution pattern that signals intent to sell into exchange liquidity rather than simply rebalance.
The wallet still holds 1.285 million HYPE valued at approximately $84.4M, meaning the selling pressure is far from over.
