Securitize has launched tokens tied to major U.S. stocks, including Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla, Meta and Amazon. The offering is also expected to include SpaceX, Palantir, Circle and Strategy. Tokenized stocks have surpassed $3 billion in onchain value, and Securitize has accounted for much of the recent capital growth.
The tokens are backed 1:1 by underlying shares held through Securitize Markets’ regulated brokerage infrastructure. Called Convertible Entitlement Tokens, or CETs, they provide applicable shareholder rights, dividends and corporate-action entitlements. The offering launches on Solana, settles in USDC and initially supports extended U.S. market hours, with Securitize planning to expand toward 24/7 trading.
Why it matters
The structure aims to connect tokenized assets to share ownership and its associated rights, rather than simply track a stock’s price. Securitize says CET positions could transition to an issuer-sponsored tokenized share model if a company adopts one through the firm, creating a potential bridge between existing securities infrastructure and direct onchain issuance.
Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo said the goal is to bring the underlying shares, shareholder rights and regulated market infrastructure onchain. Earlier this year, the company tapped Jump and Jupiter to provide liquidity and access for its stock-tokenization effort.
Market impact
The launch adds a major equities offering to Solana’s tokenization activity, with USDC settlement and extended-hours trading at the outset. A move toward 24/7 access remains a plan, not an initial feature.
Securitize has also launched its own SECZ shares on Solana and Avalanche, becoming the first company to debut shares both onchain and on the NYSE. Its president, Brett Redfearn, previously said the firm was speaking with major investment banks about bringing other IPOs onchain.
