Strive Adds 1,107 BTC, Lifting Holdings Above 27,400

The purchase keeps Strive among the largest public Bitcoin treasuries, while its pace and funding mix shape the scale of its longer-term accumulation ambitions.

Strive bought 1,107 BTC for approximately $94.5 million between Sept. 21 and Sept. 25, paying an average of $85,396 per bitcoin. The purchase lifted its holdings to 27,462 BTC, according to a Monday Form 8-K filing with the SEC.

Why it matters

Strive is the world's fifth-largest public Bitcoin holder, behind Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet and MARA. CEO Matt Cole has said the company could potentially reach second place by the end of 2026, though he does not consider that the base case.

The target would require substantial further accumulation. Strive needs another 16,053 BTC to pass Twenty One's current 43,514 BTC holdings, assuming Twenty One makes no additional purchases. With 13 full weeks left in the year, Strive would need to acquire an average of roughly 1,235 BTC per week to reach that mark.

Market impact

The latest addition was smaller than the prior week's 1,355 BTC purchase. Strive continued raising capital through SATA perpetual preferred stock sales and the exercise of outstanding warrants. Warrant exercises generated $12.4 million in gross proceeds, down from $21.2 million a week earlier, while SATA sales provided 85% of the capital raised, up from 57.7%.

Bitcoin was trading near a one-week low of $83,000 after falling Sunday night. Strive's common stock, ASST, was down 0.3% Monday at $29.35, but remained up nearly 70% year to date. Strategy's MSTR was down 6% and Twenty One's XXI had lost 26% over the same period.
