ARS Aquarius Loan
Aquarius Loan is a decentralized finance protocol operating on the Core blockchain that enables users to lend and borrow selected cryptocurrencies through algorithmic money markets. The protocol pools deposited assets into liquidity pools and dynamically sets interest rates based on the supply and demand of each supported asset. ARS is the protocol's native token, and the project falls within the Core ecosystem as a core infrastructure component. Lenders deposit crypto assets into the protocol and receive interest-bearing aTokens in return, which accrue yield automatically as long as they are held. Borrowers can draw loans against their deposited collateral, with the protocol enforcing an overcollateralization model that limits borrowing capacity based on the collateral factor assigned to each asset. Because Aquarius Loan runs as a non-custodial smart contract system, users interact with it directly through a crypto wallet without needing to submit personal information or open a traditional account. The project was launched in 2022 and subsequently secured a grant from CoreDAO to develop a decentralized money market on the Core chain, followed by a partnership with SushiSwap to bring the ARS token and protocol to market.
