Green Satoshi Token (GST) is the in-game utility token of STEPN, a Web3 lifestyle application that blends fitness tracking with game-style mechanics. Built within the BNB Chain ecosystem, GST functions as the experience point and in-app currency of the platform, replacing traditional leveling systems used in conventional games. Users equipped with NFT Sneakers earn GST by walking, jogging, or running outdoors. The token is then used within STEPN to level up existing sneakers and mint new ones, as well as to interact with the app's social and gamification features. GST is minted through player activity such as movement and the leasing of NFT Sneakers, and it is burned when users spend it on in-game progression. An in-app wallet and marketplace support swapping, leasing, and trading of assets, including the sneakers themselves. GST is distinct from GMT, STEPN's governance token. The project is developed by Find Satoshi Lab, an Australian fintech studio that gained early recognition through the Solana Ignition Hackathon Gaming Track.
