INV Inverse Finance Rank #1263 $10.53 ▼ 0.85%
Inverse Finance is a decentralized autonomous organization that builds and maintains a suite of on-chain financial protocols within the Ethereum ecosystem. The organization was originally founded in late 2020 and operates through open-source code maintained by its community. Its primary products include FiRM, a fixed-rate lending protocol that uses a design called DOLA Borrowing Rights and Personal Collateral Escrows to allow borrowers to lock in rates for unlimited durations without co-mingling user collateral, as well as DOLA, a debt-backed, decentralized stablecoin soft-pegged to the US dollar. DOLA is over-collateralized by assets such as staked ETH and wrapped Bitcoin rather than relying on algorithmic mechanisms. A yield-bearing counterpart called sDOLA captures revenue from FiRM borrowers and distributes it to holders who stake their DOLA. The protocol generates additional income from third-party lending markets and from treasury operations involving decentralized exchange liquidity. INV is the native governance token of the DAO, granting holders on-chain voting rights and providing stakers with a share of protocol revenue. INV is tradable on both centralized and decentralized exchanges, including major DEXs like Curve and Balancer.
