Upbit and Bithumb list MPLX and NEX on Korean KRW market
A dual listing on South Korea's two largest venues pushes MPLX onto the BTC and USDT pairs on Solana while NEX lands in USDT on Ethereum, opening a deep KRW bid.
Metaplex (MPLX) is a protocol that functions as a foundational standard for creating tokens and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Solana blockchain. It provides the underlying infrastructure used to mint the large majority of digital assets issued on Solana, supporting a wide range of applications including stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), decentralized exchanges, launchpads, wallets, DePIN networks, DeFi platforms, and blockchain-based games. Since its inception, the protocol has facilitated the creation of more than 900 million assets and processed billions of dollars in transaction volume. MPLX serves as the governance token for the Metaplex ecosystem, granting holders a role in steering the protocol through the Metaplex DAO. A portion of protocol revenue is allocated toward the buyback of MPLX, aligning tokenholder interests with the network's ongoing activity. Beyond its Solana roots, Metaplex is also associated with the BNB Chain ecosystem and is recognized within categories spanning GameFi, NFT infrastructure, and launchpad services. The project has drawn backing from notable crypto investment firms, including Animoca Brands, Multicoin Capital, and Alameda Research.
