PNDO Pondo Rank #3848
Pondo is a liquid staking protocol built on the Aleo blockchain, designed to allow users to stake ALEO while maintaining liquidity through a representative token called pALEO. Rather than locking assets in a traditional staking contract, depositors receive pALEO that can be used across the broader decentralized finance ecosystem while their underlying ALEO continues to generate staking rewards. The protocol automatically delegates staked assets to high-performing validators on the network, aiming to optimize returns and support decentralization without requiring users to select or monitor validators manually. PNDO is the protocol's native rewards token, distributed to participants and granting holders a share of the revenue generated by the platform's staking activity. Pondo sits at the intersection of several DeFi themes, including liquid staking, tokenized real-world assets, and governance, and is recognized as the first liquid staking solution deployed on Aleo. Its introduction of pALEO established an early liquidity primitive for the network, and PNDO later became the first Aleo-based token to be listed on a centralized exchange when it was made available on Gate.io in February 2025.
