The token derives its identity from a real-world experiment conducted at the Neiry biotech laboratory, in which electrodes were implanted into the somatosensory regions of a live rat brain to connect it with an artificial intelligence system through a neural interface. The project is described as a fusion of biology and technology, and the experiments are carried out in compliance with relevant laws and ethical standards. According to the project's account, the original experiment attracted attention from the scientific community, leading to the creation of multiple meme tokens bearing the Pythia name. A portion of one such token was reportedly donated to the Neiry lab, after which Pythia endorsed the asset. Neiry subsequently paired its PYTHIA tokens and SOL into a liquidity pool, directing the resulting trading fees toward additional neuroscience and technology research.
