U2U Network is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 chain that uses a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) as its core data structure rather than a traditional linear blockchain, and it extends its capabilities through a Subnet framework. The network is designed to support high-throughput, real-world decentralized applications, with a particular emphasis on DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) and other on-chain workloads that benefit from low latency and fast finality. The architecture is divided into two main components. The base layer, U2U Chain, combines a DAG structure with Asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance (aBFT) consensus and a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) mechanism, aiming to balance security, efficiency, and decentralization. Built on top of it, U2U Subnet is a horizontal scaling solution that enables application-specific chains to connect to the main network. It uses a custom virtual machine called OstracismVM and a Universal Messages Verification (UMV) protocol to allow seamless cross-subnet communication and interoperability. By offering EVM compatibility alongside its DAG and Subnet design, U2U Network positions itself as a flexible smart contract platform oriented toward scalable, interoperable decentralized infrastructure.
