Vana is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain network designed to turn personal data into a financial asset class. The network organizes contributors through Data Decentralized Autonomous Organizations, or Data DAOs, which collectively manage and govern shared datasets. Within this framework, Data Liquidity Pools serve as the primary mechanism for contributing and tokenizing data. Once data is submitted, a Proof-of-Contribution system validates the submissions to confirm they meet the network's quality and integrity standards. Validated contributions are then represented as data tokens that reflect the value of the underlying information. To keep the ecosystem active, Vana issues its native VANA token as a reward for the various roles that sustain the network, including data contributors, validators, and the operators of the liquidity pools themselves.
