Zetrix (ZETRIX) is a layer-1 public permissioned blockchain designed to support smart contracts with a focus on privacy, security, and scalability. Its cryptographic infrastructure is intended to serve enterprise needs across multiple industries by offering a more transparent and efficient framework for adoption. The network uses a hybrid consensus mechanism that combines Delegated Proof of Stake (DPOS) with its own zBFT (Zetrix Byzantine Fault Tolerance) protocol, enabling the chain to process high transaction volumes. According to its developers, the architecture is designed to deliver throughputs of around 10,000 transactions per second while maintaining network security. Founded in 2021, Zetrix is led by MYEG Services Berhad, a South-East Asian technology firm, and operates as a smart contract platform aimed at international markets outside China. The project collaborates with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) to align with China's national Xinghuo Blockchain Infrastructure. It also partners with Bubi Technologies Co Ltd, contributing to the development of that infrastructure and the establishment of supernodes within Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership member countries.
