MoonPay launches MoonAgents Card — AI agents can now spend stablecoins via Mastercard.

MoonPay has introduced the MoonAgents Card, enabling AI agents to spend stablecoins directly from on-chain wallets through the Mastercard network. The product bridges autonomous agents and traditional payment rails without requiring a human intermediary to authorise each transaction.

It's an early but concrete step toward agent-native commerce: rather than agents requesting funds from a human wallet, they hold and deploy capital on-chain and settle through existing card infrastructure. The read-through is that stablecoin spend — particularly $USDC — becomes programmable at the agent layer, not just the user layer.
