PUMP Jumps 12 Ranks to Lead Top 100 Climbers

The Cosmos Hub is a multi-asset distributed ledger at the center of the Cosmos network, an ecosystem of independent, parallel blockchains known as zones. These zones are powered by classical Byzantine fault-tolerant (BFT) consensus protocols such as Tendermint, with the Hub serving as a coordination layer that allows many zones to interoperate and exchange tokens without an intermediary. Rather than relying on Proof-of-Work, the network secures itself through Proof-of-Stake. ATOM is the native token of the Cosmos Hub and serves three primary functions. First, it acts as a spam-prevention mechanism, used to pay transaction fees proportional to the computational work required, similar to gas on Ethereum. Second, ATOM can be bonded by validators and delegators to secure the network and earn block rewards, with the total staked supply determining the economic cost of attacking the system. Third, holders of staked ATOM participate in on-chain governance, voting on proposals that shape the future development of the Hub. The token is widely used across the broader Cosmos ecosystem and is supported across a range of associated chains, wallets, and developer tooling.
