The district0x network (DNT) is an Ethereum-based framework designed to support the creation of decentralized and autonomous marketplaces and communities, referred to as districts. These districts are built on d0xINFRA, an open-source infrastructure that leverages Ethereum smart contracts to provide core marketplace functionality. The project is intended to lower the barrier to launching decentralized applications by offering modular tools similar in concept to website builders. Through a creation interface, users can deploy communities and markets without needing development or programming expertise, while auxiliary modules extend the functionality of each district in a manner comparable to plugins. DNT functions as the network's native utility and governance token. Holders can stake their tokens through a dedicated interface that is paired with an Aragon-based governance layer. Each new district is associated with its own Aragon entity, allowing stakers to participate in decision-making and peer reputation systems within that specific community. The token operates within the Ethereum ecosystem and is also recognized as part of the Energi ecosystem. It is widely available across major exchanges and is supported by a broad range of software and hardware wallets, including MyEtherWallet, Trezor, and Exodus.
