Cointelegraph Hosts Private Salon at EthCC NYC on June 9
A 55-seat curated gathering of Web3 and institutional finance leaders, co-hosted with Neyro Network during one of the year's flagship Ethereum weeks.
Ethereum is a decentralized, open-source blockchain platform designed to support smart contracts and decentralized applications without the control of any central authority. Often described as a programmable global computer, it allows developers to build a wide range of on-chain services, from financial protocols and NFT marketplaces to gaming platforms, using self-executing programs written primarily in Solidity. These smart contracts run on the Ethereum Virtual Machine, which is maintained by a global network of independent nodes. The native asset, Ether (ETH), functions as the network's currency. It is used to pay transaction fees, commonly referred to as gas, and must be staked by validators who propose and confirm blocks. In September 2022, Ethereum transitioned from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake through an event known as the Merge, reducing its energy consumption by more than 99 percent. An earlier upgrade, EIP-1559, introduced a fee-burning mechanism that can offset issuance during periods of high activity. Ethereum was proposed in 2013 by Vitalik Buterin, alongside several co-founders, and launched in July 2015. It belongs to the Smart Contract Platform and Layer 1 categories, and remains the largest ecosystem for decentralized application development.

The 4% Sunday rally and Saylor's renewed buy signal bought time, but a sentiment index at 8 and dealer gamma stacked at $60K say the structure isn't healed yet.
The ratio floor at 0.026 is the real story: even a dollar-denominated ETH breakout may not signal genuine outperformance while Bitcoin keeps absorbing institutional rotation.

The 24-hour short-loss figure is the story, not the price tag: leveraged bears piled in near $60K and got crushed when BTC ripped to $63,800 — but a fresh Iran-Israel flare-up has already started…
The swing captured roughly $33M of paper alpha on $188M of pre-crash supply — a textbook top-tick distribution from a long-dormant wallet that the market read as a signal in real time.
The structural constraint is energy and compute, not algorithms — a framing that puts power infrastructure at the center of the next AI build-out cycle.
Two on-chain wallets timed a round-trip that returned roughly $45M of ETH and 11 WBTC to the stack — and the rest of the market is now reverse-engineering the playbook.
The framework of venues, custodians, market makers and rules that move trillions in digital assets is being rewritten in Washington — and the CLARITY Act is the most concrete piece of that rewrite on…
Extreme fear, an RSI at record lows, and a chart that mirrors 2018 have bulls and bears split on whether June's pain is a relief rally setup or the start of a 50% second-half flush.
