JTO is the governance token of the Jito Network, a significant contributor to the Solana ecosystem. The network is best known for its JitoSOL liquid staking pool, which allows users to exchange SOL for a liquid staking token that maintains exposure to DeFi opportunities while generating staking yield. In addition to standard staking rewards, JitoSOL holders receive a share of the network's Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) rewards, a mechanism that captures profits arising from the specific ordering of transactions on Solana, such as arbitrage between decentralized exchanges.
