Sentient is an artificial intelligence and smart contract platform operating within the Ethereum ecosystem. The project is focused on constructing an open, community-built Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) framework, positioned as a decentralized alternative to the closed-source AI systems developed by large private technology companies. At the center of the project is the Sentient GRID, an open-source intelligence network composed of specialized agents, models, datasets, tools, and compute resources contributed by a broad set of partners. By coordinating contributions across more than a hundred collaborators, the network aims to function as a shared fabric of AI capabilities rather than a single proprietary product.
