XYO is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) that runs on the Ethereum blockchain and focuses on bridging real-world data with Web2 and Web3 applications. The project operates a network of over ten million nodes that collect and validate location-based and other forms of real-world information, which it then supplies to companies working in sectors like artificial intelligence, geolocation, logistics, and data services. At the core of the network are Proof of Location and Proof of Origin protocols, which are designed to verify the authenticity of physical data points. These capabilities support use cases including real-world asset (RWA) tracking, location-based gaming, treasure hunts, and other decentralized infrastructure applications. The XYO project has also introduced its own Layer One blockchain, built to handle the heavy data requirements of DePIN, AI, and RWA workloads. The ecosystem uses a dual-token design. The XYO token, the externally traded asset, supports rewards, staking, and governance within the DePIN network, while a separate native token powers transactions and gas fees on the XYO Layer One chain. The network is accessible through the COIN app, and the project is developed by the XYO Foundation alongside XY Labs, a U.S.-based company that has been notably involved in SEC-qualified and tokenized share offerings.
