DTCC Partners with Stellar to Tokenize DTC-Custodied Assets!

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) have announced plans to enable the tokenization of DTC-custodied assets on the Stellar blockchain. The integration covers the full asset lifecycle — including corporate actions and reporting — and is designed to support the rapid conversion of traditional financial assets into tokenized form.

The DTCC is the backbone of US securities settlement, processing trillions of dollars in transactions annually, making this one of the most significant institutional endorsements of a public blockchain network to date. Bringing DTC-custodied assets onto Stellar means tokenized versions of equities, bonds, and other instruments could move with the speed and programmability of on-chain infrastructure.
