Trueo is moving its primary deployment from Base to the Ethereum mainnet after launching on Coinbase’s Layer 2 in March 2025. The prediction-market protocol said Ethereum offers stronger integration potential, broader network effects and a better fit for a permissionless, mostly immutable product. Vitalik Buterin welcomed the move, calling Trueo a strong new Ethereum L1 contender focused on decentralization and ethical market design.

Users are advised not to open new Base markets expiring after Jan. 31, 2027, while longer-dated markets should be listed on Ethereum once the mainnet instance is live. Existing Base markets that settle after the migration will remain available through the official app.
The TRUE token will remain the protocol’s native asset. Holders can migrate their tokens to Ethereum through an indefinitely open migration window, giving liquidity and market participation time to transition alongside the application.
