XRP Exchange Wallets Add 83.94M as Price Weakens

The balance rise came from the same tracked wallets, but exchange custody totals do not show how much XRP is available to sell or whether holders are placing sell orders.

Exchange-attributed wallets added 83.94 million XRP across three daily balance changes dated Oct. 13–15, lifting tracked holdings to 22.06 billion XRP. The increase came from the same 699 wallets across 24 exchanges, with no new wallets added, while XRP was trading near $1.32 in a market reading on Oct. 15.

Why it matters

A rise in exchange balances can raise the question of potential selling supply, but it is not evidence that coins have reached order books or that holders intend to sell. Exchange-controlled wallets can pool customer funds, institutional custody and other balances. The tracker also includes wrapped-token reserves and other funds, and transfers between tracked and untracked addresses can change the measured total.

The separate Oct. 8–15 weekly view showed an 82.35 million XRP net increase, or 0.37%, in the same tracked wallets. Binance-attributed wallets led with 54.61 million XRP added, while several venues recorded smaller increases and Bybit, SBI VC Trade, Bitfinex and Uphold saw declines. The weekly figure overlaps the three-day increase and should not be added to it.

Market impact

The balance data alone cannot establish selling pressure. The more informative test is whether holdings continue to rise alongside seller-initiated spot trades on the same venues over a defined period. That would strengthen the supply concern; a balance reversal or evidence of a custody transfer would weaken it.

Reported 24-hour turnover of about $3.12 billion measures aggregate activity, not which side initiated trades during the wallet-balance window. Venue-specific trade definitions also matter when assessing seller aggression.

Frequently asked questions

  1. How much XRP did tracked exchange wallets add from Oct. 13–15?

They added 83.94 million XRP across three daily balance changes, bringing tracked holdings to 22.06 billion XRP.

  2. Why does the same-wallet count matter in the XRP balance data?

The tracker recorded the increase across the same 699 wallets and 24 exchanges, with no new wallets added. That makes newly discovered wallet coverage less likely to explain the rise.

  3. How much of the weekly XRP increase was attributed to Binance wallets?

Binance-attributed wallets added 54.61 million XRP during the Oct. 8–15 weekly window, the largest positive venue change.

  4. Can higher exchange wallet balances confirm that XRP is being sold?

No. Exchange wallets can pool customer and custody balances, and the ledger totals do not show what is available on order books or reveal holders' trading intentions.

  5. What would strengthen or weaken the potential-supply concern?

Continued growth in the same wallets alongside seller-initiated spot trades on the same venues would strengthen it. A balance reversal or an identified custody transfer would weaken it.
